FAQ

How do I book a treatment?
Bookings can me made by phone, text, email, Facebook message or via my booking request form.

How do I buy a gift voucher?
Gift vouchers can be purchased online or directly from the Lowen Centre. Alternatively, they can be emailed or posted to you or the recipient. Payment can be made by cash, card, PayPal or BACS. Please click here for more information.

Do you take card payments?
Yes, I can accept payment by cash, card, PayPal or BACS.

Do you have spa facilities?
Unfortunately not, I have a single treatment room based in a therapy centre.

Do you do couples/friends massages?
As I am the sole therapist I am only able to carry out one treatment at a time. However many couples and groups enjoy having their treatments one after the other. I have a quiet waiting room with plenty of books, magazines and complimentary herbal tea to allow you to relax while your partner/friend has their treatment.

Do you offer mobile treatments?
I am unable to offer mobile treatments. All treatments take place at my treatment room which is based in the Lowen Centre in Helston.

What is the difference between aromatherapy and holistic massage?
Both types of massage can be personalised to suit your needs in terms of pressure and problem areas. Aromatherapy also has the added benefit of using essential oils to help boost your wellbeing.

What do I need to wear for my treatment?
For most treatments, you will usually need to undress, but you may prefer to wear loose, comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting a little oil on. As your body temperature drops when you become more relaxed, it is advisable to bring a jumper to wear after your treatment.

Are your treatments suitable for pregnant ladies?
Most treatments including massages, reflexology and facials are suitable for pregnant ladies after the first trimester, providing your midwife has given consent. Some treatments such as hand and foot rituals will need to be adapted. Please contact me to discuss suitability before booking.

Can I book a treatment for someone else?
Yes, you can either buy a gift voucher so they can choose a date and time to suit them, or you can make an appointment with me directly. Please make sure the appointment you choose is suitable for your friend/family member before booking. If you would like to pay for their treatment in advance, you can either drop the money in beforehand, pay by card, PayPal or BACS, or simply give the money to your friend/family member in a sealed envelope to bring to their treatment!

Will I need to undress for my treatment?
You will need to undress down to your underwear for massage treatments. You will be covered with towels at all times, and only the area I am working on will be uncovered.
Facials and the aromatic hair & scalp ritual will require removal of your top to enable me to work on your neck and shoulders. For reflexology and holistic foot rituals, only shoes and socks will need to be removed, although trousers/leggings may need to be removed for luxury foot rituals.

Do you treat male clients?
Yes, I do treat male clients as well as female clients.
However, due to repeated enquiries, I must stress that I do not offer anything other than professional massage treatments. Please do not embarrass yourself by asking for any other form of massage. I do not tolerate inappropriate comments or behaviour, and should I be made to feel uncomfortable at any point during a treatment, I will terminate the session immediately. Should this occur, I will request full payment for the treatment regardless of whether it has been completed.
